Welcome

Have been reading..

..the various entries over the past few weeks, and of course, glad to see the skating faithful are as enthusiastic as ever. The events/distances some of you are doing have my sincerest admiration.
I have been progressing very nicely, walking twice a day, 1 1/2 to 2 miles each time. There are minor setbacks, but considering it'll be 4 weeks post-surgery this coming Monday, I feel very blessed to be where I am. I can assure any and all of you that if you should have to undergo any type of major medical procedure, your cardiovascular conditioning from skating/biking/whatever will pay enormous dividends during the recovery phase, both physically and psychologically.
Skate Safe,
Jack

Hope You Are Well Jack
Glad to hear it!
Thanks for Checking In, Jack
I'll add my thanks for the update. It's good to hear you're making progress. Those twice-daily walks sounds like a good program. I'll bet most folks would improve their fitness a whole lot doing just that. I'm fighting to work out even 3 or 4 times a week, and wonder sometimes about the tradeoffs between intensity--requiring recovery--and getting out there more often.
Hope you'll keep on keeping us posted, and I'll try to get out to visit sometime in the next few days.
