We had a great time on a nice warm evening in fall in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
The Friday Night Skate is a great way to spend some time with some of the skaters
who plan to skate the 87-, 52- or 38-mile routes on Sunday, and some who are giving
up their chance to skate so the rest of us can. It's tons of fun as long as you're
careful not to burn yourself up, crash yourself out, break your equipment, or otherwise
cause yourself more work getting ready for the big day, 36 hours later. This year, no
mishaps for me, and I'm really glad we did the skate!
