The inaugural Roadskater.net Carolina Century took place at sunrise (OK 700AM not 649AM)
starting at Gospel Baptist Church near NC-150 and North Church Street in Greensboro.
Fifty-Seven cyclists participated in the 102/51/31/21 mile event with eight skaters,
together raising $1025 after event expenses to local charities, principally the
central NC chapter of the national multiple sclerosis (ms) society. Volunteers will
have donations made in their names or to their fundraising accounts in proportion
to the hours they gave to make this event happen.

The eight skaters started out on the 102-mile course and five completed the full century,
while two completed a metric century (actually, 63 miles) and one more completed 42 miles.
All agreed this was a nice rolling (hilly in fact) course, with some nice climbs saved for
the last twenty miles, including a nice uphill finish.
