Four of us went out to check over the eastern loop of the Carolina Century route,
which is the 51-miler or the first 12 and last 39 of the 102-miler. Three were on
skates (Craig, Mark and Blake) and one on a bike (Tim). We had really nice moderate
weather and friendly faces to meet us along the way. The route looks great for
the Carolina Century October 24 2009...a little better than last year in fact, due
to some paving on the route, although one section is slightly less wonderful than
last fall, having received some "improvements." Thanks to my pals for joining me
for 51 miles and for taking it easy in order to keep my company most of the day.
