The 2007 Carolina Cup took place on a sunny and warm but not sweltering day,
topping out at 91 degrees with 25% to 30% relative humidity. Amid birthday weekend
activities, which included 28 miles of inline skating laps in the park on Saturday,
we made it out for the Pro/1/2, Women's Open, and the first few minutes of the
Senior Cat 3 races before heading off for more calories and family fun. Greensboro
Country Park is a great place for a race of this type, and an even better place
to come take a walk while you watch the racing. We walked counter to the direction
of the race to see the whole course and how the cyclists used it, but it's just
as nice to pick a spot and stay put in the shade. Thanks to Cycles do Oro for
providing beverages and other goodies to many folk in their welcoming way, as ever.
