The Paceline Bicycles Tour to Tanglewood Training Ride again took place on a warm to hot day
when Greensboro NC was bursting with blooming bushes and trees, white and fuchsia.
The route was a nice and familiar one north of Greensboro, and there were no real
rude motorists around us on this day as had been the case the year before. We came
back from Church St. and Archergate via Planefield rather than climbing Church to Air Harbor.
Perhaps this is a major difference. Air Harbor is a somewhat nicer road, but getting there
means doing a hill on the cusp of the country to city transition, where we might be the
first reason drivers have had to stop as they head in for the city...which seems to
annoy them. Maybe they're not having fun and wish we weren't either! But on this day
it was all good. We are out there with the cyclists training for the Tour to Tanglewood for
for Multiple Sclerosis and the Athens to Atlanta Roadskate and we don't want to cause problems.
Please, please, please, share the road and politely as you can. Skateylove! Blake
