Paceline Winston-Salem provided a great Tour to Tanglewood Training Ride, and
my skatepals were kind enough to wait on me after my oversleeping put me in a
rush to get there. Can you say wasted adrenaline? The route was mostly hilly out
of town as I recall, and undulating thereafter, with some nice roads, and some
moderate gatorback on one stretch that also had limbs and leaves from a storm the
night before, we assumed. We missed a turn and did 4 extra roundabouts early, but
fared well enough and had a great time, as ever. My heartrate never quite settled
so I think I was the weakest link, but the guys were nice about it and we did OK!
