Stroller Skating For Those Who Can Not Be Away From Their Babies Long Enough to Skate Laps

I'm glad to support specialized exercising opportunities, since I engage in a fringe sport, but sometimes I simply fail to understand. I do understand wanting to skate with your child, if they're on skates and you are too, and they are skating and not tethered to you.

I'm not sure what seems so great about skating while pushing a stroller. Certainly this is not an experience the child would see as any different, so it is for the parent. That's not bad, as long as it's safe, and that's not up to me to decide. So I support it but don't get it.

Newby looking for group skate

Been doing Triathlon for about 5 years pretty seriously, loved it, but been there done that now and looking for something new. Picked up some fitness RollerBlades and been out a few times. doing pretty well, actually really enjoying. Looking to meet up with like minded folks for group skates anywhere in the triangle area. Still a Newby but always looking to learn from others.

July 19th - SkateStrong Inline Skating/Rollerblading Workshop to Benefit Multiple Sclerosis (National MS Society)

2008.07.20 9:00 am
2008.07.20 5:00 pm
US/Eastern

Hi everyone!

I am teaching the next SkateStrong workshop on Saturday, July 19th, 2008. Normally, I'd point everyone to the website for details, but the power supply on my webserver (which was just replaced 4 months ago) has died again! So, rather than wait for the replacement to be shipped to me, I thought I should get the word out now so that people can plan accordingly.
