Roadskater.net Classic Inline Skating & Cycling Photos

roadskater's picture

This is a quick first hack at getting some 2007 photo links over to the new Roadskater.net from RSN Classic (rsn1.net). There will be much more later, and I won't even go into it all now. It's been "in the works" (meaning in my brain) for almost two years now. I don't want to do it until I can do it "right," and the way I want it to look.

I hope you enjoy these photos. If so, please join and comment! Your responses keep me going and make taking that camera, the batteries and memory sticks along when it'd be easier to skip it and skate.

* ken's bike shop winston-salem nc tour to tanglewood 2007 training ride

This route is challenging on inline skates due to the long downhill on Kiger Road on
fine gravel & tar, plus more, but scenery on Kiger and Red Bank Road are worth it.

To help cyclists and skaters get ready for this year's Tour to Tanglewood, tour

* the 2007 tour de kale bike ride and inline skate 60K/35+ mile route
The Tour de Kale 2007 rolled out on a cool and cloudy but dry day from
Denton Farm Park (farmpark). The photos here are from the 60K or 35+ mile
route, as that's the one we skated. Cyclists and organizers alike made us
very welcome and told us to please bring more skaters next year. After the skride
and the great food, we walked around the farm park looking at the machinery,
buildings and flowers on the grounds there. On the way home we went to see the
Pisgah Covered Bridge. See my 310 photos here, and

* tour de lions 2007
A cool but sunny day greeted another great Tour de Lions inline skate and bike ride
in Grays Chapel on the north side of Franklinville, NC. This charity helps local
residents with vision problems and other needs, and it seems the whole community
comes out to help, especially those from the Lions Club and the Grays Chapel United
Methodist Church, where the ride starts and finishes. With door prizes and a great
meal, for what more could you ask? See my 160 photos here, and
