Shop and Support Roadskater.net RSN2.com![]() Submitted by roadskater on December 9, 2006 - 9:47am.
Roadskater.net (RSN1.net and RSN2.com) is free. You don't have to pay anything to use the site, to join, to view the articles without joining, or to be part of our inline skating, cycling and charity exercise team. You don't have to buy a jersey that says Roadskater.net or anything else. However, often people have wanted to know how to help, so here are a few ways. All are voluntary and are totally free to you, unless you decide to make a donation....
The most direct way to help Roadskater.net is to just make a small donation by check, credit card or Paypal balance via Paypal. You do NOT have to join Paypal to make a donation. Paypal earns about 30 cents plus 2.9% of each donation, which is a competitive fee for their service, and that way I don't know anyone's credit card or checking info. One of the best ways to help is just to contribute to the content of Roadskater.net. When you do that, you most likely help someone or entertain someone we've never met before. One of our goals is to share our love of our sport with people searching via Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask and other searches on the web, and to create something for the world. Another way is to just use the site naturally, reading the sponsor text and graphic messages and reacting to those naturally and only when interested. I don't want anyone to do anything they wouldn't want to already. If it's not a great deal for you, don't do it! Please check these and the links at the bottom of this page:
If you want to make a purchase from my websites listed in this section, just request that the profit go completely to Roadskater.net operations. My sites offer a variety of German, Polish, South African and other mostly European products. Just remember to put a message in the note and all the profits will go to supporting the site. These are all products I have selected myself for quality:
Another way to help is to let me know using site/feedback if there is a merchant you regularly purchase from online that you would like to shop with in support of Roadskater.net. I'll do what I can to get into their program and to provide a link. For now, let me say that eBay has been the most successful and cooperative, and when you buy anything if you click through here just before that purchase (and sometimes for a few days before) there's a good chance some of what eBay would otherwise keep will come to Roadskater.net. New eBay account signups that become active eBay members are especially helpful. I'm convinced that careful eBay auction purchases can be one of the best ways to try out skating and cycling equipment (with auctions, especially, you usually don't pay but a dollar or so more than someone else was willing to pay in most cases). Sticking with 100% positive feedback sellers who have 100 or more total transactions, or at least 10 100% positive selling transactions, say, reduces the risk, as does reading the entire auction ad, every word. These are conservative numbers, and if you're eBay savvy you'll know what's safe. No matter what, thanks for reading and helping to create a resource for the world that will last longer we will, hopefully! The following companies have agreed to donate a very small percentage of any purchase you make to help cover the costs of roadskater.net (rsn1.net and rsn2.com). If everything works out and your cookies are on and the moon is right, RSN should get a small bit of the purchase...BUT PLEASE DON'T BUY ANYTHING BECAUSE OF THIS because it might not register as a credit to the site anyway, and I specifically do NOT want to generate a purchase you wouldn't otherwise make or have you pay more for something just to help the site. If you buy from any of the links below and feel like it, let me know and I'll check on the transaction to see if the affiliate credit took hold.
