Tour to Tanglewood 2007 Roadskater.net Team Dinner Lucky 32

2007.09.14 6:45 pm
2007.09.14 9:00 pm
Here's another event, and this one's important if you can manage a reply, so I can plan for dinner. Things may change but as it stands we'll shoot for being at Lucky 32 by 6:45. The main thing to reply about is "will you attend the team dinner this year, wherever or whenever it happens to be?" The team dinner, like the Prologue Skride, is optional and open, but may not be too interesting to those not skating or riding or visiting the tour. You may add invitees to either RSVP. Let me know ASAP! I'll have the jerseys at dinner as well.

2 eggs 2 slices of bacon and 2 pancakes for $2.32; Plus Panera Sweet Tea & Free Wifi

No, this is not about healthy eating, or training, or skating, except that I'll need to think about those things later in the day. I just got back from enjoying an amazing anachronism: breakfast with 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon and 2 large pancakes for $2.32...and the food was good!

Simcha Sweets: the Best Triple Chocolate Decadence Cake

This is something I have to rave about: Chocolate Decadence Cake, made by Simcha Sweets and Treats in Greensboro. They don't have a store, but they do have a phone: 336-632-0629. I don't actually like regular chocolate cake (thinking it's either a waste of perfectly good chocolate, or that chocolate cake is just plain cake ingredients colored brown) - but this one from Simcha Sweets and Treats is chocolate...with a sprinkle of flour in there somewhere. It is by far the richest, most condensed cake I have ever eaten. It's like licking the bowl - before you empty the cake batter out :-)
