Fresh Frozen Vegetables and Fruit

Hey I recently found some really good green beans that I reminded me of the ones we used to pick out of the garden and sometimes string a bit on the front porch. I found these at my WallOfChina-Mart (Wal-Mart) which is the "supersize" version. I liked how simply they were packaged and how they looked to me. I brought them home and cooked them and I say they're good. Your buds may differ, of course. And yes this is not as good as something someone else might be able to do with fresh this and that but it's good and if I don't add all the great stuff from my youth they should be pretty healthy.

Book Review: Chris Carmichael's Food for Fitness

The Lance Armstrong Performance Program, by Chris Carmichael and Lance Armstrong, brought me successful results during last Summer's training. So I decided to check out a nutrition book, also written by great American cyclist and cycling coach Chris Carmichael, called Food for Fitness, which came out in 2004.

High Carb (Carbohydrate), Low Fat Grocery Food with Sodium, Potassium Nutrition Facts

Especially in long events over four hours, getting sodium and potassium (and other electrolytes if possible) are important, and more water is not better if it doesn't contain electrolytes. Some say "peanut butter" but during an event it's hard to deal with the fat that comes with it. Those who sweat alot and who experience muscle craps are often looking for sources of potassium. So I've been looking out for convenient sources of sodium and potassium, especially as might be found in grocery or convenience stores.
