This is my second attempt to bring some attention to this notable ride. While looking for links the first time around I revisited the awful circumstances surrounding Mr. Serrano's death, and got so upset I had to quit and go do something else. But who am I to give up and run away? For the three involved in this accident, it's the least I can do to highlight this ride.
Wow this is some great news. The much-respected Tour de Moore has invited us to join them for the Sandhills Cycling Club's main event hits the road Labor Day. I sent an inquiry earlier this week to Rainbow Cycles and received this reply:
Yes we’d love to have road skaters at our event. It looks like it will be a perfect day in the 80’s with some clouds. You can register at active.com or print our registration form from our website sandhillscyclingclub.org. How many skaters will you bring?
A2A is over, the leg-swelling is gone, the let-down has set in and I'm itching for another excuse to spend a long day skating. I am happy to find that the Claxton, GA, Chamber of Commerce is putting on another 'Cruisin' in the Country' (cycling) event this year. Blake and I, plus Keno, Mark Day and some other APRR skaters took part in this great event back in 2003 (on skates).
